The town was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1984. Known as the Spanish Versailles, in 1561 the King Philip II declared it Royal Site and it became the Royal Family spring residence. Its gardens, the Royal Palace, the Flowerbed, the King’s Gardens and the Prince’s Gardens are one o see moref the most interesting green areas in Europe. The Aranjuez Casino, the restaurants and bars are the main attraction of one of the most important cultural and historical cities of Spain.
It offers all the commodities and services of a high level campsite and the combination of the enjoyable Mediterranean climate and the exuberant nature of a natural site that is unique in the whole region of Murcia.
You can enjoy a unique space with extremely beautiful places, flora and faura. The campsite is divided in terraces with an extraordinary of the surrounding village, the National Park and the Toledo Mountains.
La Fresneda campsite is located in the Cuenca Alta del Manzanares regional park and on the borders of La Pedriza natural park and the Santillana reservoir water-bird reserve. The many autochthonous ash trees that dot the campsite provide ample shade in these natural areas, emblematic of the southern see more slopes of the Sierra de Guadarrama.
